Values on the slider bars jump too quickly- how do I fix this?

Hope this question is in the right spot. Noob question.

I’m trying to position a sub tool using the position sliders in the Geometry sub palate but the values on the slider jump too much. I’m getting frustrated trying to type in the value because it’s never just right.

Is there a way to adjust this in the preferences? I like being able to move things around and then reset them to 0 zero later.

Click the slider to select it. Type the value that you want. Press Enter/Return.

The sliders in the Deformation palette, seem to work(to me) in a ‘finer fashion’; I have them readily accessible in my UI. I believe you can set snap distance in Preferences. Default might be 10.

You can try the Nudge (slider values) plugin by Marcus.

Hey Everyone,

Just got back to my computer and saw all of these replies. Thanks!

I did reset the slider in Pref-> UI- slider center snap to the value of 1 and it did help some

I’m also installing the plug-in. So thanks so much. It sounds like exactly what I was looking for. I use nudge all the time in Photoshop and it’s so helpful.
