I have been running into issues with uv master when it comes to unwrapping hard surface objects. I was hoping uv master could completely take over for my uv mapping needs but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work well with hard surface models which is unfortunately with z brush new hard surface modeling capabilities.
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or tips on the issues I am encountering. Either the mesh doesn’t unwrap properly or it get warped or curved. Attached are some screenshots of some of the issues. The first images the front face unwraps very strangely and not flat like it should.
The second round of images are showing my mesh in my 3d package and then how z brush unwraps it even with perfectly polygroups for telling it where to unwrap. If you see the mesh warps and curves and is no longer straight.
