Utah-Raptor

This is my new work. Supposed to be a raptor that lived in utah (it´s a bigger one than the velociraptor).

I made the lowpolycage in max and most of the modelling in zbrush. Then I made a displacementmap and exported him back into max and rendered with brazil. The first images are the max renders, the other ones are plain zbursh renders along with some details of the raptor I found in the internet. And a image of the wire of course.

Moreover I made a displacementmaps for the details as well as a normalmap for the smaller details.

That looks really good, i like the detail, the whole model is clean/sharp, i just wish you had a zpshear model of it, i would like to try a dinosaur my self.

I don´t think it is that hard making a lowpoly cage with z-spheres from a dinosaur like that. I´d do it myself more often, but sadly modelling with zspheres causes zbrush to crash on my computer. I haven´t figure out why yet. So I rather doing the loypoly cages outside of zbrush.

But somewhere here in the boards I found a good tutorial for modelling a dinosaur with zbrush recently. If I find it again, I´ll post the link.
