Using projection all so I can bake normal maps in zbrush

I am working on this office chair and I have the highpoly and low poly model done. I am trying to do a projection all on the low polygon model. So I take the low polygon model and add sudbdivision and then press projection all but it comes out funny. Is this the best way to do a bake? I am trying to stay within zbrush. I am trying to bake out a normal map and ambient. Right now the low polygon model has different groups on it. Should I explode both the highpoly and low poly so that each section doesnt touch eachother?
this screen shot is me showing the high and low poly model, I just copied the high polygon model. The high poly model is sitting over the low poly but just hidden.

I ended up breaking the parts into subtools and using the ProjectionAll tool to transfer the detail. After messing with the settings of the ProjectionAll tool I was able to get a good looking transfer.ProjectAll.png

Hopefully after I do this process to each piece I can combine it all and do a normal map bake. Is that possible to merge each subtool even though each subtool might have different subdivision levels and actually keep the levels so I can bake
?
