Using Project All on 3D Printable Hair

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question that I can’t seem to find the answer to online anywhere. I’m currently working on sculpting a female character’s hair(it’s stylized to look more like a lion’s mane with wind blowing through it) each separate clump is it’s own polygroup all in one subtool. It ZRemeshes just fine but when I go to use project all it get’s weird artifacts along the edges(basically where the different clumps overlap). Is there a way to mask or protect those overlapping areas so that I don’t have to smooth them out every time? I’d prefer not to separate the hair into a bunch of different subtools lol. Also, this is for 3D printing. Thanks everyone.

A bit of an update on something that I found from Flipped Normals that seems to help quite a bit is re-projecting at each separate subdivision level starting from the lowest to the highest.
