Using existing UVs in Zbrush

Hi All,

I’d like to know how I can use the existing UVs that I made for my model in Maya in Zbrush. Does anyone know how I can use them? What’s the procedure? I’d appreciate any help.

Thank you,

M

There’s nothing special that you need to do. Your model will import with the UV’s and ZBrush will automatically use them.

If you wish to apply a texture that has been created for those UV’s then after importing the texture you simply need flip it vertically. There’s a button for that in the Texture palette. Then you can go to Tool >> Texture >> Texture Map and assign the texture to the SubTool.

The only caveat to this is if the model has overlapping UV’s. ZBrush does not support that.
