User Interface (New guy)

Hi
This is my first day using zbrush (moving from other apps like Rhino, Keyshot, photoshop etc.)
I’m using a 27" iMac 5K.
The user interface is REALLY low-res. All tools etc are very pixelated.
Feels like I’m trapped in the 90s!
Its crisp (so not blurry) but just low-res, like zbrush is trapped in a gameboy.
I’ve tried Preference/UI/Button-Size but that just makes the low-res pixelation bigger or smaller.
How do I fix/configure?
Is this just what zbrush looks like?

Hi @Craftyste

A screenshot of the entire interface would really help us to know exactly what you are talking about.

Thanks ZBER2
Here we go…
May just be me not use to the ‘retro’ feel of the UI.
Any pointers you might be able to offer on what zbrush or iMac 5K might be doing (if anything?).
Cheers

If you are referring to the interface text, that is normal. It is just going to look worst on a 5K monitor. If you are referring to Tools that look like they have jagged edges then it’s possible that your document size is not ideal and that you are using document Zoom instead of Zoom3D (both on right shelf) to scale the Tool. See below video on how to match your Document size to the canvas area. Also, the latest version is ZBrush 2021.5.1 and you are using ZBrush 2020.1.4. You should upgrade to the latest version to ensure that you are up to date with bug fixes and new features. The upgrade is still free to registered users and older versions are not supported. Other than that, you can also contact Support via Start a conversation for suggestions or more in depth support.
