Great, full-time permanent, well paid position for classically skilled digital sculptors at the United States Mint. Opportunity to create digital sculpture in a highly classical style using the latest cutting edge modelling and design software.
Would you like to take your artistic ability to the next level? If you have the training and experience in 3-D graphics and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) tools this just may be the position you have been looking for.Duties for this position include:

Creating designs in 3-D graphics formats using electronic sculpting software; or designing and developing 3-D models of varied materials that can be scanned with non-contact scanning digitization systems and revised or modified digitally.

Digital designing that can be used to develop cutter paths for generating master tooling.

Creating designing and developing original designs, sketches and finished renderings.

Inspecting, engraving and refining master tooling (steel dies and hubs) that is produced by CNC (Computer Numerical Control) tools or conventional machining methods.

Analyzing and evaluating non-filled and poor finishes on coins, medals and other devices; and providing advice and consultation to improve quality assurance.

Analyzing, evaluating and coordinating and participating in test trail strike reviews and events; and recommending appropriate technical modifications and changes to optimize and promote efficient and effective coin, medal and other devices production processes and efforts.
