hello, i like the modelin, seems like u added some good details to it, about texturing im not sure, i havent see a reference of this flower…i did a little search on the namme but didnt see this kind of flower, can u post the reference or a link to it, so i can have a better idea please?
is this a real flower. I searched Chinese Lotus on google and I didnt see anything that resembles this. When I think flower I think multiple pedals perhaps if you modeled the flower in another app like maya with individual petals then detailed those it would read better. However if there actually is a flower that looks like this upload the image of it.

Nice dragonfly to go with Lotus Huang! Nice insects on the forum today But I would put the pictures where you posted updated. It breaks the thread to insert up there and have to scroll down here for reply. Keep up the good work!

I had to create one dragon fly for my comics, The problem I had was making its wings semi transparent yet beautifull patterns.
Will wait for you to get the texturing done.
Very nice work, Huanglan; unusual to depict the fruit of the lotus, but draws attention to tthe dragonfly well
A backgound might help the overall image (perhaps you still intend to make one?)

did u model the mesh for the fly in zbrush or diff software?
