Units to MM

Hello, I want to measure in mm with zbrush and I’m a little confused by what I’ve heard. So I guess you need to know how many mm that 1 unit in zbrush equals and then set that in the transpose units tab? Or just know how many mm the 3D square equals, and set it that way. How is this done correctly so that I can measure for real world printing? Thanks

You can set Transpose use the graduations along the line for measurements. They can be changed in the Preferences >> TransPose Units sub-palette.

Also, real world measurements can be set in the 3D Print Exporter plugin when exporting your model. Documentation for the plugin can be found in your “ZBrush 4R6/Documentation/plugins” folder.

I work in mm units all the time. I use 1 zbrush unit = 1 mm

If you need more help let me know.

So 1 unit is always going to be 1mm, or do you have to set that up? I need to measure the inside of a ring to determine the size.

Ok, very interested in this. I didn’t even know ZB had units that could be set.
