Units and measurements?

Hello and thank you for your time. I know Zbrush does not have a unit system where I can set a model to be within a certain sizes (mm, cm, meters, inches, feet, yards etc). I guess the first question is: Do you think ZB will every adopt a unit system? Second question is: are there any plugins or scripts that will allow me to set my models or world space with units? I just think it would be very helpful in making dimensionally correct models, expecially when exporting out to Maya or 3dsmax.

That’s great, thanks! But I was hoping for some kind of an interactive measuring tool also. For example if I set my units and my scale like the example shows, is there a way to see value changes or measurement changes in X,Y or Z to a sculpt as I work in real-time, without toggling to the action line modes?

If you want to know the Bounding Box in X,Y,Z for your Tool you can use the 3DPrinte Exporter Plugin and just click on Update Size Ratios.
Note:if want to know the Bounding Box per subtool you have to activate in 3D printe Exporter>Advanced Options>Set Selected Subtool Size

PS. Sometimes Update Size just gives you a random value. If this happens just move the sliders in measurements and update again.

In the Geometry pallette at the bottom are sliders for size and location. There are also sliders in the Deformation pallette which seem to be less sensitive(to me) than those others. Tweaked my UI such that many of these common tasks are easier to get to…
