I am just trying to pose my mesh. i made the zsphere rig and then posed it but whenever i try to tpose to subtools it gives me error -32 with no documentation on it from zbrush.
Hi @zombotomy ,
The most common explanation for this error is that somewhere the point order has been changed either for one of the source subtools , or on the TPose Mesh. Not only the topology but the point order must remain completely unchanged. This is why the Transpose Master documentation warns against the use of Gizmo deformers for posing. Any tool or process that changes the point order will break your TPose mesh. Generally, you are limited to either ZSphere rig manipulation or Transpose (Gizmo/Action Lines) features to manipulate the TPose mesh.
Also possible:
-
One or more of the source subtools reports errors with Tool> Geometry> Mesh Integrity> Check mesh. Any subtool that reports errors can be considered problematic for many features in ZBrush, and these errors must be corrected.
-
Your TPose mesh resolution is too high in polycount. For best results, the TPose mesh must be pretty low in polycount. TPose meshes that contain too many points will perform poorly, distort easily while being difficult to correct, and meshes that are too high may simply fail to work at all, causing a variety of errors.
The optimal Transpose Master scenario is for subtools that have multiple levels of subdivision that have been subdivided up from a clean, low poly quad base. Ideally all subtools involved should be in the same form. The DemoSoldier.ZPR is an example of a mesh ideally suited for Transpose master.
Additionally, the process of converting a mesh to multi resolution with clean quad topology tends to eliminate most issues or errors with a mesh. You can be successful with less optimized geometry, but working with ideal geometry will eliminate most problems.
- Your scene may contain many TPose meshes from previous operations. This can cause issues. If this describes your scene and none of the above apply, try deleting all other TPose meshes, saving the file and restarting the program, and loading only a single active TPose mesh.
If nothing above helps you find the problem, please contact Support and provide the file for examination.
Thank you!
