Unable to focus / move around scene after camera Undo

Working on a subtool and using camera undo multiple times, I reached a point where I could see nothing in my scene. Re-focusing on the subtool, or changing to another one did nothing to solve this. Tossing it off as a rare bug in a long session of work, I rebooted ZBrush to refresh my scene.

Much to my surprise though, after loading the tool and drawing it one the scene, as soon as I hit Edit and then focus, or orbit/zoom/rotate, all of my subtools disappear once again. All the subtools are still there though - if I export them as OBJs, I can open them without problem in any app. It’s almost as if the camera clip start/end were set to strange values that didn’t allow proper navigation in the scene, but somehow linked to this tool file.

If I load another tool and work on that, ZBrush behaves normally. Somehow, it seems like the faulty navigation behaviour is linked to this one tool. Is there any way to solve this and recover my file?

Update: So after debugging this tool, I found the troublemaker was a single subtool I had been working on during that original session. I don’t know what I did to it that cause the entire tool to malfunction, but it’s thumbnail picture in the subtool list shows nothing. If anyone knows what could have caused this, and any way of undoing it, please share!
