I’ve been having this issue where I’m getting poly group creases of some sort I guess. Wondering is there a fix or preventive method. I even went so far as to insert a sphere onto a problem area and merge it so I could try to clean up the ugly seam. TIA!
Is this dynamesh? if it is do you have groups on?
I was using Zremesher while doing the Dragon Tutorial (http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/805-Creating-a-Fantasy-Dragon-in-ZBrush#play-18804). It involved making polygroups, and Im guessing at some point I had Smooth on during a process.
While it is one tool, it seems to have separated parts of the tool out, wings, skull, feet. I was not sure if it was due to using a masks during some procedures of the polygroups, but once they became apparent I was not sure if going back to the very start of the model is the answer.
Smoothing causes the separated parts to draw back from one another further. No brush can cover over the separation if any smoothing is applied.
I inserted a sphere on one of the ankles in hopes of creating a “weld” from a new element. I was hoping there was some sort of way to re-weld the parts together in some manner.
Thanks for any advice.
*** EDIT***
I did a total remesh, which took some serious time, and it created a clean tool.
Still wish I could have cleaned it up locally since now I must clean up the remesh.
So still any info on fixes or even if REMESH is the answer, what’s best to try to come out the least damaged.
A better way is clone your tool. Merge all into a single subtool and dynamesh, reproject all details and fix your seems.
