Udim using Zbrush to Keyshot Bridge

Hello,

Has anyone been able to apply texture maps as UDIM’s in Keyshot Pro for Zbrush?

There’s a little info out there as to using the TiledUV node, but I haven’t had luck.

When it comes from Zbrush with one map applied, it imports fine. But when I change the Texture mode to TiledUV, it breaks and gets errors. I’ve tried setting it Texture (and the mapping type to UV), tried changing the naming convention, saving maps locally, haven’t figured out yet.

Any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Questions regarding the use of Keyshot features should be directed to Keyshot resources.

This is beyond my own level of experience with Keyshot, and Keyshot is only used by some of the ZBrush community.

A Keyshot forum would likely be entirely Keyshot users.

I think that’s partly true. I’m waiting for admin approval on the Keyshot forum to post the same question.

The trouble seems to be that Keyshot users don’t tend to use Udims, from what I can tell researching this problem. The Keyshot forums have very little info on Udims.

I’m hoping that since it was purchased from Pixologic, and is limited to importing only from Zbrush, that character artists or modelers used to using many Udims per character would have run into this problem.

Although its a Keyshot question, as Keyshot is sold to Zbrush users, its locked to Zbrush, then it is in part Pixologics responsibility to help support it as its sold from Pixologic as a features product, but they only have to realy help with Bridge issues of which I have.

UDIMs if keyshot supports it should be sent over with Pixologics Bridge, but unfortunately while Zbrush does support UDIMs when maps are generated it don’t support it natively within Zbrush, there is only one single slot for each map type.

The Tile UV Node is what your after for setting up UDIMs. This info can be found here.

This, however, is a community forum, not Pixologic Support. I didn’t answer the question because I didn’t know, not because I was withholding support. My only concern was getting the user someplace where they had the highest chance of getting their question answered.

Been back and forth with Luxion support the last few days.

But it looks like UDIMs using the TiledUV work fine in Keyshot 9.
