Tyrus Goshay's Sketchbook

Ok… So im new to this, and if by chance I am creating my Sketchbook in the wrong place, please forgive me and hold Roland Hernan responsible.
Im pretty new to Zbrush, so I am still trying to learn the tools and the processes to best translate my ideas into a 3D sculpt. Feedback is encouraged. Dont just look, say something. Good or bad, it will be appreciated.

Thanks a million.

This is the correct place, your sculpt is marvelous and creepy and interesting as heck all at the same time!

Cheers!

Here’s a few more pieces that I am working on for a children project. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Thanks for the comment MealeaYing. I’ll try to get some more work up.

The sculpt is nice but the texturing really stands out. Very painterly work- nice.

Thanks for the compliment. Im really trying to learn how to texture lightly, but enough that it works. It always ends up being heavy.

Yeah these are awesome sculpts I am loving them!!

Just practicing some sculpts. Let me know what you think. Fil_1.jpg

Very cool work. Love the tree and the demon. Something seems a bit off with the pixie’s face and the hands seem a bit too big but all your painting/texturing work is awesome. Maybe a bit more bark or wood texture on the tree to give it more life.
Looking forward to more.

i dont know how to post the from newest to oldest just yet, sorry. Say Cheese2!.jpg

Here is a couple of pieces that I’ve been working on for the last few weeks. Ive been trying to come up with a specific look and style for an upcoming project that I am working on. I would love to get some feedback from the community.

Thanks

wow, i really love it. beautiful model, great colors, great poses… the only what is confusing me, is that her bodysuit is so highly decorated (which looks very nice) that it distracts from the character. my eyes constantly move to look that pattern, …maybe a less pronounced pattern would be better to focus the viewer on the characters face ? but, nevertheless, i really love that character and the world around

Really love your color choices and the character design, looks beautiful. Just a few small crits that jumped out at me though. Not sure what it is, but her skin texture looks “dirty”, in the face and hands especially. I think maybe the is too desaturated or might have too much grey in it. Second thing that jumped out to me, was that her eye textures look very blown out, which make them a little lifeless in my opinion. Cool stuff nonetheless  can’t wait to see more.

Completely agree with your assessments. I think I want to make her skin darker, seeing that she is an African American Character. Great input! Thanks

Here is a piece that i have been working on for an upcoming book. It started out as a sketch of a former boss and blossomed into a good time.
