Types of Rotation in Tool:Preview

In the small Tool:Preview-screen I know I can change the 0,0,0-value of the mesh’s own orientation in the ZBWorld.
The rotating of the mesh to create a new ‘centre’-point has it’s limits. Just like the limits of the XYZ-rotation in the big Edit-screem. Luckily ZB offers Y-Rotation and Z-Rotation in case I need that to orient the mesh in the Edut-screen exactly as I want to.
Is there a way to do these precise rotations in the little Tool:Preview-screen?

I hope I am clear in what I mean to ask.
Greetings, EddyL

I know I’m probably no big help, but I know that holding down shift will give you exact 90 degree rotations in the small preview window, which you can then store. That wouldn’t solve the “arbitrary angle input” problem, though. For this, you might wanna use a secondary app like Maya or Max to export-improt-tweak-export-re-import.

Have you tried entering values into the deformation sliders, ala Rotate x by 10 then rotate y by 10, etc?

Good point, spaceboy, it does work. Exact workflow: rotate tool in the preview, don’t let go of mouse, hit shift to return to previous view - this set’s deformation to work in the preivew windows ONLY, then you can use deformation x/y/z to affect it.

You’re a genius, spaceboy, this will prove useful to me as well.
