Turtle Rock Studios is seeking a talented character artist for full time employment at their studio in Lake Forest, CA.
Ideal Candidates fullfill the following qualifications:
Responsibilities
- Modeling, UV and texturing.
- Quickly build prototype models and textures to be used in game for gameplay and performance tests.
- Build great looking characters from start to finish.
Requirements
- A portfolio showing a varied range of character art to a very high standard.
- Experience using 3D modeling software such as 3DStudio Max
- Exceptional sculpting ability in ZBrush or Mudbox as they relate to game art workflows.
- An understanding of all current generation production workflows as they pertain to character art production.
- An understanding of the human form/anatomy and structure/silhouette in respect of modelling.
- Ability to create and manipulate texture maps and an excellent understanding of the value of UV space.
- A great team-player: Self-motivated with good communication skills.
- Able to accurately follow common goals and tasks whilst working under own initiative.
Preferences
- Have shipped current generation console or PC titles as a Character Artist
- Strong traditional art foundations: including but not limited to figure drawing, concept art and illustration
