I don’t understand why ctrl + left click is the shortcut for ‘blur mask’ when holding down ctrl is how you draw masks in the first place. When I draw masks this makes me accidentally activate blur very often, and having to undo this action all the time totally interrupts my workflow. Is there a way to turn off or change the shortcut for mask blur?
It’s an internal system shortcut rather than one that’s assigned to a specific interface element. As such, there is no way to turn it off or change it.
You can submit a feature request for this to [email protected], however.
Thanks, Aurick, I’ll do that.
You can effectively disable the feature by setting Preferences:Transpose:Mask Blur Strength to 0.
on a similar note, is there a way to disable the ctrlshiftalt combo that turns Stencil on, considering it has its own hotkey anyway (ALT+H). its truly annoying when selecting/hiding and that pops up due to my clumsy fingers.
Thanks for reply, marcus_civis. Yup, that’s what support told me, too.
Wow, spaceboy412; you’re even clumsier than me…
spaceboy412,
Did you mean - Shift+Ctrl+Click, Release Ctrl, Drag (when Lasso selection switched on) for creating a custom Stencil ? There’s no way of switching that off.
