Trying to understand the settings for the brushes

Hi there, I have been messing around with zbrush for a while and I am having problems that are starting to be very annoying. I follow a tutorial about a character sculpting. I use the same base mesh. First thing that i noticed is that the person who does the tutorial is using a draw size of 32 which is a small size for his base mesh and for me the same value is covering the entire face of the mesh. You might say “ok,thats not a problem, reduce your size of your brush”. Ok, I will agree with you because its the most logical to do.

However, when he starts using the standard brush with lazymouse on, things are going completely wrong. His brush makes sharp deep scars whereas I cant. See from the example below

This guy is using standard brush, free hand with an alpha on,intensity 16,and he has this nice result. With the same settings(except the brush size where he has 32 and i have 4 and intensity at 25)i have not the same result with him. The subdivision lvl is the same in both pictures.

So I am wondering,do I have to set some global settings?Because at some point he uses the inflate deformation option, and he set it in 100 and he repeats this value for a couple of times. On the other hand,i had to set it in 2 to have the same result.

I am sorry if I sound like a noob(which I am in zbrush) but I am trying to understand whats going on with the brushes and especially when i am using standard brush with lazymouse.

It sounds like you need to turn dynamic brush sizing off.

Not sure on your other issues.

well,I didnt know that you can do such thing with the dynamic up there. It solved most of my issues.I also set into 0 the size sensitivity of my tablet and it works fine. I presume that was my problem. Thanks for the help
