Trees, The Quick way. Narated Zscript True tutorial!

Hi!

I made a neat new Zscript today… Soon I will learn how to add spaces without typeing the “_” all the time.

I concider this my first true Zscript tutorial! there will be more tree makeing tutorials in the future…

The Zscript has been tested and runs fine… Lots of notes added to explain the methods to my madness…:p:+1:

Hope you all like it, THe Zscript will make this Picture …

WOOHOO!

lol, If you put more time into adding colors to the texture, and tweaking the color bump, you will get a better looking bark material.

Questions and comments are always welcome!!!
Hope this helps someone :D:+1:

From this old script from you and Sarabel :+1:
Pilou

I forgot I made that Zscript…

Thankyou for the link Frenchy Pilou! I forgot all about sarabells method also.

those Zscript work with the Demo version of Zbrush 1.55b :D:+1:

Now that the MACintosh version is about to be released, the Demo version of Z2 should be very soon!

If the New Demo of Z2 is like the old demo of 1.55b this Zscript should work for 90% showing all the tree modeling… then I resize to draw it on the canvas for a render is all…almost the entire tutorial should run (if the new demo is like the old one  )

after the new demo is released, I will focus on makeing my scripts compatible with the demo version so that everyone can share in the Zbrush fun :D:+1:

Have a good day , it is good to see you posting again Frenchy Pilou :D:+1:

Hi All!

Here is quicktree 2!

The Zscript will make this complete picture!!!

In this Zscript you will see how to:

:small_blue_diamond:Paint a seamless texture in Zbrush 2, this case treebark

:red_circle:Model Quick trees useing Zspheres

:white_small_square:Apply the texture to the tree so that the wood grain follows the branches.

:large_orange_diamond: turn the Zspheres into a pose-able figure. and pose our tree (this treee can be posed time and time again to make an entire forest of diffrent looking trees with same color bark.

:white_small_square:Model a leaf in record time useing a sweep profile.

:red_circle:Use a technique I learned from a Ken Briliant tutorial to paint leaves on tree at a very rapid pace. (tutorial is in quick links I think)

:large_orange_diamond: Tweak the materials, and lighting to make the above photo.

well anyways, it will be a worthwhile download if you are planning on painting your own backdrops…

I am going to work on my technique a bit… make my trees look a bit more natural in the future, I want to start useing refrence photos for leaf patterns, bark color, and texture from real trees… shape also.

Hope you all like this tutorial!

Please Feel free to post Questions, comments, 121, whatever :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

This is great!!:+1: Thanks! Those techniques will be really useful.

Marcus
PS. To add a Note with spaces just type the text within " ":
[Note,“Like this.”]
(You don’t need to do this if you are re-recording your script and hit the Ctrl+Spacebar keys to pause it. The “” are added automatically.)
