Transposing / quadrupeds / problem?

Hello,

I was never a transposing master, it gave me problems since beginning. I saw a numerous number of movies where peoples doing it with ease. But well maybe it’s not meant for me

anyway I was doing a simple cat lately… cat was done in standing position, and now I’m trying to make him to sit. After a hour of trying…well I’m unable to do this. Maybe someone could look at my model and tell what am I doing wrong ? or maybe quadrupeds are specific situation where you should not count on transposing ? I would be thank full for little assistance

Hello @lukasso

Try to upload any images showing your issue directly to the thread. You can just drag and drop directly into the text window. This keeps information being referenced in the thread as opposed to an external link where they might disappear for any reason. Frankly, having to log into a separate account just to download an unknown file is probably too much to ask most people.

Are you having trouble getting the pose correct, or trouble understanding the transpose Action Lines?

As far as general advice:

  • Make sure you are posing a lower poly version of your model. Low poly geometry will not distort as easily as high poly meshes, and will be easier to correct when they do. It will be easier to control the influence of the transpose actions with fewer points to manage.

  • Transpose Master works around the idea of posing a combined, low poly version of your tool, then transferring those changes back to the high poly versions of all your individual subtools.

  • To do this, it will require meshes with a low poly base and multiple levels of subdivision. If your mesh is not currently in this form, you can create a new version by ZRemeshing a duplicate into a lower poly form, subdividing it sufficiently to hold the incoming detail, then projecting the detail from the original onto it.
