Hello! Hope you’re all well. I know it’s possible to use Transpose Master with subdivisions and 3D layers. It’s even possible to use TPose Master with Proxy Pose as Michael Pavlovich has demonstrated. My question is whether there’s a funky method for using TPose Master with Proxy Pose, but then send the poses back to a 3D layer?
I’ve tried various ways but I either get an error saying that there’s a vertex order mismatch, or my mesh goes weird. If someone can help that’ll be cool!
I’ve been playing around with the old Timeline tools with layers.
Thanks.
Hi @Chris_Wright !
Yes, It’s possible but requires a specific order of steps. The thing that must be kept in mind is that the topology and point order you commit to a Layer when you exit “Record” mode must exactly match the geometry at the time the Layer was created.
So you could:
-
Load the DemoSoldier from Lightbox. The main body has 3 subdivision levels and loads at lv 3.
-
Create a Layer for the body at the highest SubD level and leave it in record mode.
-
Enter Proxy Pose mode for the body subtool.
-
Press TPose Mesh to send it to TPM.
-
Give the body a quick pose. Remember that no feature that changes the topology or point order can be used.
-
Send the changes back to the original tool by pressing TPose|SubT.
-
Exit Proxy Pose Mode for the body subtool.
-
Exit “Recording” mode for the body subtool Layer. This should commit the pose to that layer, and allow it to be toggled on or off.
Good Luck!
Hi @Spyndel Thanks very much for your solution! I will give this a go when I’m next on ZBrush and report back. You’re a super hero. Thanks!
