Transpose master and Gomax compatibility

Hey guys !

I guess this question would be more for Marcus or Norman 3D.

Transpose Master and Gomax are 2 really good tools, but they are not able to work together, and I am look for the reason why.

What I want to do is to modify the position of a mesh in max (without adding or removing vertex).

so first I create a tpose mesh, then I send it to max with gomax and move some vertex,
I send it back to zbrush with gomax, and the tpose mesh is updated.
no problem until here :
when I press TPOSE>SubT, the plugin is processing, but it doesn’t transfer anything, and my hi res mesh remains the same.

to reduce the field of investigation, the problem seems to be when you send the mesh back to zbrush : before this step i can still use the tposemesh properly, and the vertex number in max doesn’t seem to be changed.

If you have any idea…

Thx guys !

zbrush 3.5 r3

Transpose Master relies on the polygroups remaining the same as when the combined mesh is first created - there’ll be one for each original subtool. So that is the first thing to look at.

What you might try is:

  1. Save out a version of the TPose mesh. (Press the TPose Mesh button whilst the TPose mesh is selected.)
  2. Do your GoMax stuff.
  3. Store a Morph Target.
  4. Import OBJ saved at (1) through the Tool>Import button.
  5. Switch Morph Target.

Then do the TPose>SubT.

HTH,

it worked !
the only concern is the famous r3 scale problem, but it doesn’t affect my work in this case

hate to go a bit offtopic here, but what scale problem exactly? Just curious…

cheers!

I gonna check cause it could come from the original mesh
