Transpose Cloth brush

How do I turn this off? I used it on a subtool and now every time I try to move a subtool it automatically comes on. I can’t seen to get rid of it.

Not sure what you mean by turn it off. Regular transpose is BTR. Cloth transpose is BTC. Choose whichever you want.

Alternatively disable simulation iterations in the Cloth Transpose brush (temporarily) by setting the Brush:Elasticity:Simulation Iterations slider to zero.

Thanks for the reply. I have my transpose gizmo set with a hot key and apparently it will initiate which ever was the last transpose brush used. So I just need to type in btr to switch it back and be aware of the situation. I wonder if that happens to other brushes say if you had a hotkey set to move but the last brush was move topology.

Thanks again.

Hmm. That’s odd. I just tried making a hotkey for each of the BTR and BTC brushes and they work fine. Each hotkey selects the correct transpose gizmo brush. Not sure how you’re creating your hotkeys but here’s what I did.

Select BTR and then exit out of it. Repeat with BTC. There should now be two mini brush icons in the Brush palette showing brushes you’ve used. Hold Ctrl-Alt and click on the BTR brush mini icon. It’s important to select the mini icon, not the large icon showing the currently selected brush. Then hit a hotkey combo. Repeat for the BTC brush and set a different hotkey combo. You should see each brush appear as the selected brush icon as you type the hotkey for each. Store the Hotkeys (Preferences:Hotkeys:Store).

Good Luck.
