Here’s a fast little method of creating stone walls etc I found using Mesh Balloon.

Use a little masking from ambient occlusion and I’m sure you could pop a little moss/ grass in the cracks to add to the effect.
Similar effects I’m sure could be created with many other kinds of tiling/ repeating alphas.
