Transfer HD Geometry

Hi everyone,

Working with a 1.8million poly model which has 3 HD divisions taking up to approx 120million. Done a lot of work and turns out a change is required to the base level - 30k polys approx.

If I GoZ to max and change the base, the HD geometry details are lost. I am thinking of some form of displacement map transfer however it requires UV’s which won’t be the same and also a limiting factor in terms of 8k map max.

Any thoughts, hopes and prayers appreciated???
