topology for rigging

Hi, I’m really new with ZBrush(about a week or 2 to be exact). I’ve been watching tutorials and various Zsummit videos to get better. I’m starting to understand workflows and now I’m at the point where I have a sculpt I want to rig. I’m sort of confused about the process of turning my high poly sculpt into a low poly model to rig. From what I gathered from watching videos I get the form with dynamesh, zremesh?, add divisions, sculpt detail, duplicate, remesh duplicate, project high res onto duplicate, export low poly as obj for maya, export uvs? Also If i’m using an outside program to retopologize do I do that after I add the details then project the details onto that retopologized model? Hopefully I was clear with my questions, any help would be appreciated.
