Topology Brush: how do you move vertices? [Answered]

Hey,

How does one translate the vertices while using the Topology brush?

Thanks,
Matt

It’s not currently possible to move vertices. I think the simplest way to work is to construct your topology, create the mesh then refine the vertex positions using the Move brush.

It is possible to switch to a different Curve brush, adjust the curves and then switch back to the Topology brush but I find that it is easy to lose vertices that way.

Ahh, thats a good idea. So the workflow would be blast out the initial topology with the topology brush, refine with the move brush, and than reproject details.

Thanks again Marcus!

It’s a shame we can’t move vertices while using the topology brush. Hopefully in a future update.

Yeh, thats a big limitation, I was hoping it would be possible, as you can move / nudge a standard curve brush once drawn. Considering the smooth curve operator edits the curves, must be a way to edit points under the hood. not going to switch from topogun just yet
