Tooltip and QuickInfo not displaying? :(

Hey, this feels like such a silly question.

Somehow I’ve lost the ability to hold control over a tool a get a quick text popup tooltip, I wasn’t sure where this functionality resides in the preferences but it would seem it would relate to Quickinfo when you scrolls your mouse over for example the brush icon and it displays a magnified version

These things are not working whether I customize them myself or restore Zbrush to standard UI

It’s odd!

I don’t think you can turn the feature off so perhaps your ZBrush installation has been corrupted in some way. I think the best thing to do would be to submit a ticket at Pixologic Support.

It’s good to know this isn’t a feature I’m overlooking that I unintentionally turned off :).

I’ll go ahead and reinstall and that should fix it.

Once again thanks, I was worried I was overlooking a feature this whole time.

If you’re going to reinstall then make sure you delete the ZBrushData folder in the Public Documents folder (User Shared on MacOSX). In fact, you could try deleting that folder first to see if it solves the issue. ZBrush will rebuild it.
