This character is a VFX adaptation of actor Tom Hardy, reimagined as a medieval knight.
The goal was to blend his distinctive features with a knightly persona, aiming for a realistic and grounded look. The main inspiration for the clothing came from imagining Tom Hardy in the Game of Thrones universe.
The garments were initially created in Marvelous Designer as a base, then refined and detailed in ZBrush.
All metal and hard-surface elements were textured in Substance 3D Painter, while the skin, fabric, and leather were textured in Mari. The skin textures were based on scans from the Texturing XYZ Multichannel Faces library.
UVs and retopology were done in Maya. Grooming was handled entirely in XGen for Maya. The final model was rendered in V-Ray for a cinematic finish.
