To the moons of Jupiter

Hi everyone,
this is my debut on Zbrushcentral.
I’ve had Zbrush for many years now, but never got around to properly learn it, which I changed this year. After a few of months of work I feel quite comfortable with it now and made it part of my workflow in concept art and illustration.
There is still a lot left to learn, but I feel my results slowly are becoming presentable.
Hope you enjoy!

These are composed of several rendering out of Keyshot, with lots of overpaint.

Here are some clay renderings from other angles.

Although I feel to see the purpose of those hydraulics around the cockpit, that is a pretty badass flyer you’ve designed there! Noice!

More than presentable, I’d say. That’s some nice hard surface and texture work! I’m so glad you’re feeling comfortable with the program too after giving yourself enough time to properly learn it. I see a lot of people get frustrated when they cant do what you did here in their first week.

Great project @jakobeirich that is some badass copter you’ve got there :+1: the overall shape of it, but also your details, both in the sculpt and weathering effect. Love it! Welcome to ZBrushCentral

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!

https://www.zbrushcentral.com/u/jaime Thanks again, Jaime! Hope I can contribute here more in the future. At least I’m working on new things, let’s see how they turn out.

https://www.zbrushcentral.com/u/Spyndel Yeah, I’ve been there too. But I saw the benefits of Zbrush for my work, so I soldiered through. Shout out to Michael Pavlovich. His tutorials made it really easy for me with the pace and way he teaches.

Yeah I get what you mean. To be fair, I just wanted to have fun and went in without much planing. I added those things later to spice up the shape. They should look more like supporting thingies, but I didnt care too much to make it reasonable. There are many things I didn’t do ideally, but again. I tried to have fun, make it look cool and push my limits in zbrush. Learned a ton and had fun. Really excited for the next project.

Totally RAD design man :+1:

This is a really impressive model, i’d love to see that 3d printed :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey Jakob, I’m glad you’re here! Great design overall, I like the many unobtrusive details, they make it look very realistic and believable. Cool that you venture even deeper into the 3D realm. I’m already looking forward to your next things!
