I would like to know why there is only a single main area to post to on this forum. With the sheer volume of threads, most get buried so fast others never get to see them. Makes surfing the site not fun.
Why dont you break it up a bit? Right now it kind of sucks if you post and want a response. in a day it is buried so deep it is pages away.

More categories/forums doesn’t guarantee that your work will get seen. In fact, history shows that the more forums there are, the more people tend to focus on just one and ignore the others. The result is that the potential viewers are spread out and each thread actually gets fewer views rather than more. The community also becomes more fractured.
In addition, the more forums that there are, the more often people post in the wrong forums. Look at the number of people who ask questions in the Tutorials forum, despite the sticky at the top of the forum stating that it’s for finished tutorials only and the existence of the Questions & Troubleshooting forum slightly farther down the page.
More forums just make things confusing. They don’t really create the benefits that you’re hoping for.
