Great style ! Keep the wip on !

I’ve been staring at this for a while now. I like it and I don’t like it at the same time.

I think you have found a look that can be uniquely yours. The elaborate ā€œfilagreeā€ is a really nice touch, and the pulled spikes throughout compliment it nicely.

Unfortunately I think the underlying model is a little weak. His jaw connects way to high where his ear would be… giving him a very dopey look. The horns where your designs shine are themselves bland. I would try curving them or giving them some dynamic contours. They feel very Static…

I checked out your blog, and it doesnt appear that you had this look in mind when you started it. That it is something that just came together when you were zbrushing it. I would redesign the base mesh with this look in mind. Or perfect the look on another head.

I’m really interested to see you take this to the next level.

i absolutly love it. personaly i love the ā€œdoppyā€ look he has, the long, think jaw compliments him well i think. and the spikes are a great addition to him. my only crit i have would be on the final horns you have. they need to be more rugged i think. there over-all shape is good, but the disign is to ā€œfrillyā€ for him.

keep up on the good work. id love to see a full body sculpt of him

the details on the face are really nice … i like the detailin style … his face features could look scarier, he looks kindda sad, overall great work, keep it up :+1:

Interesting model.
I like the amount of surface detail.
Now every picture tells a story as does your wip.
Your model has obviously a lot of horny like surface bumps.
The fact you have a pair of larger horns tells the viewer the creature will have been around for at least as long as the horns took to grow.
So my critique would suggest you follow on your present path.
Give the surfaces you are modeling the feeling of having aged related wear and tear.
Let these features carry the thought of incidents near and past your creature has experienced.

[color=palegreen]Keep up the work in process!
:+1: :+1:

that reminds me of what giermo del torror would do…looks awsome, keep goin…

I like this head. Because in the sea of demon heads that is zbrush (let’s face it) yours manages to stand apart. I think this is because the thin spikes, the detailing, and overall mood give it a sense of being delicate. Not to mention i personally love organic spiral shapes in general.

You’d almost say this is a demon female.

Anyway my only crit is the designs on the horns. They look great nearing the tip and the base, but in the middle it seems you kind of got lost. They don’t connect to anything and just float there, breaking the idea that they may have been formed by an organic growth process. In general they juse look like very much like ā€œspace fillersā€. I would try leaving that area without those details.

Overall though that’s my only crit. I can see where Brutikong is coming from with his comments. I am also usually critical of works that seem to focus more on the surface detail than the overall form. But in this instance the shape seems ok to me. Afterall who’s to say what a demon’s skeletal structure ā€˜should’ look like, so long as it seems to be plausible.

Thanx for critz

U_L. - Your opinion/feeling of that model are same as my programme when I started that one

I try to explain whole idea of that model later- translation of poem propably will take me a while  Overall its about border between good and evil- thin and fluid border…

Little update.

Little update- overpainted color concept. Right horn is still early WIP but actually I do not have time to finish that piece. I have plan to render that demon in mental ray in max- wish me patience

I don’t like how you went crazy with the snakehook brush one side. It doesn’t add much to the character, design wise. The non-spikey side has a good strong pose and really holds some excellent character. Details we’re done very well.

this model is simply amazing!!! it’s a top row for me :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Extremely well done, one of the best demons I’ve seen so far.
I like the insane amount of detail and the spiral marks. Looks very interesting.
Do you maybe have a video showing your workflow?

I find this character very inspiring and full of emotion… I get the impression of an elderly Maleficent who has removed her headress

Jesse Graffam- left part of a deamon is almost controversy- ones loved that other hate. But I have to agree with one thing- I went crazy with snake hook brush  but I realized, that I could do it better- now We have little ā€œchaosā€.

zzagno- thx a lot

The Chesire Cat- unfortynetely I don’t, I had a few free ours so just started to sculpt and… here we are

Salmon God- my idea was to create demon that lost his faith in to a satan- He started to question authoritets and actually he hinking about all evil things that he had done in hell… sick, isn’t it?

I try to update something on a days.

very nice detailing… but the form is quite primative and basic. consider dropping it down… and tweaking the overall shape  I can’t wait to see where u go with it tho
