Tiny things loose focus constantly in ZBrush

Hi,

I am working on jewelry for figures right now. Since this jewelry needs to be an exact size for a proper fit I can work large and then size down, it’s too fidgety but what I’m experiencing is that simple operations like selecting another tool or button in ZBrush will sporadically cause ZBrush to reset the view or loose the view completely so then I have to hit the Frame button constantly. And forget using the zoom mouse wheel script, then the viewport goes blank when I zoom in using that.

So my question what is the work around for working small in ZBrush so I don’t loose my view or have the program decide to zoom me back out when selecting other tools (which seems buggy to me)?

Most 3D programs have an Orthographic view option where one can zoom in really close and not have the camera view mess up and loose focus. I think that if ZBrush has this option then is there a way to set that up as the default for the camera’s?

Thanks so much for the help!
Richard

Hello @RAMWolff

To enable orthographic view, simply disable perspective mode.

OK, that’s simple! LOL
