Thought i'd say hello

Hey :slight_smile:

I’m new here so I thought I’d introduce myself. My names Dan, I’m a student at Swansea Metropolitan University in South Wales and I’m currently in my 2nd year studying for my B.A. in Creative Computer Game Design. My goal in life is to eventually own my own video game development company (I pretty much want to be the next Hideo Kojima).

I’ve been looking at works here (in the gallery and the turntable gallery) and its basically caused me to buy a book “Introduction to Zbrush” so I can start using it straight away.

It wasn’t until 5 minutes ago that I knew this was something I didn’t just want to look into, but HAD to look into (viewed a thread from the gallery with the Gears of War 2 work in). We don’t learn this design package in my university sadly so it’s going to be all independent learning, but I know that with the work, tutorials and guides here and in my books that I can achieve a standard of work that is more than satisfying.

So yeah that’s a brief introduction to me :slight_smile: I hope to become an active member here and will post renders of my work as I go, even though I’m only starting out I welcome all comments to my work, it’s the only way to improve :slight_smile:

And don’t forget Meats Meiers training DVD ‘Introduction to Zbrush 3’, it’s now online for free;
