This really got my goat...

After Marty McFly’s review of ZBrush at http://download.com.com/3000-2189-6982789.html I just had to post a rebuttal.

I don’t normally respond to these sorts of things, but those were fighting words.

I can’t believe some of the comments on there. One guy even tried to say it was a $292.00 demo, that Pixologic should try freeware of a lite version. The demo is free, you moron! Another one said he couldn’t download the upgrade. Well, duh! The upgrade is not out yet. These people are just your typical hard to please whiners. I was going to post a reply, but I didn’t feel like registering for the download site.

There will be naysayers in every crowd. The negative posts there strike me as coming from people who are used to getting their software either free or spoon-fed to them. I doubt they would progress very far even if the software were free. They just come across as the “I want instant gratification with no learning curve” types. I noted that most of their complaints seemed to have little supportive evidence. No real rhyme or reason to it. IMHO

Obviously the people who posted negative reviews about Zbrush have no clue. I think most of them have slow internet connections, outdated computers, no passion or understanding of 3D, and also complained that Maya, and SoftImage are just to hard to learn and therefore useless to anyone.
My 2 Cents.

There was a similar nonsense review at ZDNet.
