The Unknown, Remembered Gate

“We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, remembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets .

First post of a newly begun series of work utilisng fractal landscapes created in Sculptris Pro to express a non-material sense of place or journey in which 3D form and surface fracture and coalesce in painterly combinations. Rendered in Keyshot using labels to project texture.

Wonderful concept @boozy_floozie. Using a physically dense media like sculpture to describe non-physical/mental spaces, to make those places tangible, that can be so powerful. Really enjoyed this. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
