Hi all,
Here’s my last work
It’s a simple excercise on sculpting head anatomy
I realized the base mesh in Maya,
Hope you’ll like it
Bye,
Mirco
Here’s a Shot from Zbrush…
very nice sculpt
i like the subtle wrinkles, but depending on how old he is supposed to be, maybe a few more long wrinkles around (mainly under) the eye would be suitable.
i like it though
Thank you
Final Textured version
wow! fantastic render. I rarely see such great skin. Please share which renderer you used and shots of your texture maps. Also you’re lighting setup seems to be working really nicely. What kind of lights?
yeah the texture is very nice, can i ask how you went about it?
Well done, I really like that first shot, neat mat on there.
Thank you very much!
Some info about this render:
I used mental ray, fast skin material and a lot of maps. I used the GUV tiles mapping to avoid seams so i will not post the shot of the maps because they can’t be read very well as you know
I used a color map for epidermal that I created using a mix of photos from 3dsk.
I used polypaint in Zbrush to create Epidermal radius map, subdermap color, subdermal radius, backscatter color and backscatter radius.
The bump map is done by hand with Bump viewer material and a lot of alpha maps.
There are about 7 lights in the scene. 1 key,1 rim,2 back,2 little spot for the eys and one big area light. There’s a HDR for the reflection too.
Bye,
Mirco Paolini
