The Nexus Organ

In a place that doesn’t exist, it plays music that can never be heard. It produces sweet melodies that never use the same note twice and yet the music has played non-stop even before there was time.

Just playing around with reflections and Global Diffuse Illumination doodads.

Mr. Digits I like your doodadas ! It make’s me feel a little more sane when I see others posting their doodads. Thanks for sharing it is most welcomed.

i agree the doo thingings… are awesome… great image digits…

:+1: :+1: :+1: utterly fantastico, Floyd! i am too unexperienced using GDI so i cant evaluate its impact on this beautiful instrument, but i keep looking for tiny stick-people in there (which without doubt exist longer than time does, too)- i could only find those ladders for them until now

though the nexus organ is playing music that never can be heard i hope to find a FloydVoid-soundtrack as an approximative noiseillustration of the nexus asap!

That metal surface is wonderfully accurate, Floyd! A jeweller as I am would recognize the planishing hammer type suface anywhere…That is really fine!
:+1: :+1: :+1: :sunglasses:

Very cool picture and concept

Nice one digits.

This is SO beautiful!!!

:large_orange_diamond: A Gaggle of Nexi :large_orange_diamond:

Meandering around in No-Space I made a tremendous discovery! There is more than one Nexus Organ, in fact there are perhaps millions and they all play in harmony with eachother.

Thanks for the comments and for viewing. Juandel I haven’t composed any new music for quite awhile but I might suggest listening to “Sensei (The Teacher)” for this one if you haven’t already.

Floyd’s Noise

Even COOLER Floyd!!

And that outlining is absolutely, positively, without a doubtly, (Wait…Is that a word???) PERFECT!!!

Hey Digits,

This is another fine example of the power of ZB’s render engine - a gorgeous render. Plus a great definition of this magical device.

Thanks again for your comments.

Ron, I was able to create the halo around all the objects by exporting the final image and opening it in Photoshop. There is a KPT5 filter called “Smoothie” which is like an Edge Filter on steroids. It has controls to output a alpha type image such as the one I used for this.

I then used this image as a Fog Alpha with a texture that I had to create the outline around the Nexi. I like it!

I think next I shall have to travel inside one of these Nexi to find out what makes it tick.

Fantastic images Floyd esp no.1 and I really enjoyed your explanation. What an instrument!

Cosmic image. :+1: :+1:
