Here’s another work following a concept by Nitro. You’ll find the link to it and many more images on my Artstation, here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vbJneA
It was fully sculpted in Zbrush. Except for the hair, of course, which was done using Xgen and imported into Marmoset Toolbag 5 using their new grooming support.
This character was meant as practice, something to further hone my 3d sculpting skills. Especially my cloth sculpting skills. And I took advantage of Marmoset’s new Beta that arrived just as I was starting the Low Poly to try and test it a bit. And I have to say, I’ve been surprised how well it handled UDIMs with a subdivided mesh and Displacement Maps applied. Using a similar workflow to what I would have used with Arnold, but with probably ten times less rendering time.
All in all, it was a satisfying experience to see this guy catching life slowly, over the six months in which I chipped away at it, bit by bit. And here it is, in all his creepiness, arriving in the world almost in time for Halloween.
I hope you’ll like it,
Cheers!!
