The bust of Michelangelo's David

Hi, all. This is one of my sculpting study from Michelangelo’s David. I started this project in Mudbox. Then I converted my sculpt to zbrush because mudbox is running very slow in my computer (i don’t know why?). I finished sculpting process completely in Zbrush and rendered many render pass such as occlusion, final-gather and sub-surface scattering with maya/mentalray (traditional cast drawings are my main reference for lighting and rendering). I didn’t extract displacement map. (used decimation master zplugin) Later i composed all renders in Photoshop also add some dirty textures and many filters like lens blur (for dof), sharpen, color adjustment, exposure etc.
I hope to like it. Enjoy!
Ps: Zbrush sculpt approximately 4.5 mil. active points. I mostly used move, clay and flatten brushes. And many David’s references.

very good kepp posting

So beautiful! i like it a lot, specially cuz i lovee all kinds of classical sculptures, and this one is fantastic!!! 5 Staaars ! for sure, and well, about mudbox, i think is slow cuz mudbox prefer and consumes too much the graphics card, (and that’s bad), and zbrush only requires some RAM, (and that’s better!)

Once again fantastic job!!!:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:
