I’ve been doing a few rough sketches in zbrush to explore some new ideas. I was sketching and realised my character looked similar to the BFG. I decided to take the BFG route and create The Big Friendly Giant from the movie.
I loved the mood and colour palette where the BFG stood under moonlight, I wanted to capture that moonlit atmosphere in my image. Zbrush was used for sculpting, Subtance and ZBrush for Texturing, Xgen for hair, Arnold for render and Photoshop for Comp. All detailing was done by hand, no scans used.
