Thanks ZTeam/Pixol ...

Thanks guys for working hard to get Z2 out on time … been having lots of fun checking out the new stuff and learning old and new … Great Update/New Version.

I’ll add my own thanks here. The new interface is a giant leap forward, once you find everything. Drop-down menus with the option to still tear off palettes to each side (as in 1.55b). The shelf concept should be very useful for organizing custom interfaces for different work processes.

A quick look at ZScript commands tells me there will be a flood of very useful menu add-ins and plug-ins that streamline workflow or present totally original utilities to let users do new and unexpected things. The learning curve for Zscripting will not be as steep as I expected though the memory management commands will take some digesting (for me anyway).

I’m about half way through the tutorials and realise they’ll require close study (multiple viewings and notetaking) to understand all the procedures. Some fab stuff in there.

Displacement mapping looks to be very powerful and not all that complicated. (personally, I won’t be using it any time soon except inside ZBrush, I think).

Most immediate buzz was the functionality of the smoothing brush - simple, but holy cow, will that come in handy!

The roller brush and the deco brush… amazing. I was worried that the 2D painting aspect of ZBrush was going to be neglected. It wasn’t. These are two powerful, elemental paint tools for painting layers… along with totally new texturing mapping and other capabilities.

The wait was worth it. I’m glad the Pixologic crew took the time to get it right: integrating lots of powerful tools in an easy-to-use interface is extremely difficult and they’ve done it with great skill.

Well done.

Sven

THANK YOU ! - FOR THIS GREAT UPDATE! iam sure that this prog will made a rush through the whole 3d and 2d world!

Let me add my thanks to the others.
Bitching and moaning and griping and impatience and blurbs and sarcasm and impatience and overworked and underpaid
and unappreciated.
Permit me to correct that: not unappreciated.
Many, many thanks for the patience and kindness in the face of a herculean task.
I for one had a smooth, no problem installation.
Again I thank you all for your efforts.
Incidentally, I like the program.

A line from the Lord of the Rings. “Zbrush team you bow to no one.”

It’s a beautiful thing - a real blinder!

From the primitives to the Help files you can all be rightly proud of your achievement.

:+1:

Wow, that’s all I can say. It’s a great program even greater.
