Well I am self taught and without sites like this and others I would not be a success I recently achieved my dreams of video fx engineer.

I am working for 3 different productions companies doing tv music videos commercials and some zbrush in a motion picture.

Can’t talk about the movie to much its still in concept. All I can say is its going to be a awsome devil.

And some various angel wings with c4d hair mod and vray of course.

and I will be using real flow fire particle technology for flames.

I will be match moving them into the scenes.Fbx format mocap

Being a conventional modler Edge loop, Box modeling, point modeling, IE 3ds ,max, maya, c4d, etc.

Makes me good, ZB makes me Pro!

I am also profeciant in zb and this range makes me irreplaceable.

Thanks everyone for making my video fx artist dreams come true I couldnt of done it without you guys on my skill tool belt.

My advice to anyone new reading this post less then 3 yrs zb experiance Do every tutorial you can and buy lots of amazon books and videos.

you will get there if you put in the time.

wait… so you had 8 zbrush teachers, and you are telling us your are self taught, come on ;d
So what am i ? No teachers, never did any tutorial except the one that came with zbrush 2.0, so im some kind of “super self taught” person ?;D

Oh and by the way if I ever said to my director your clip notes have spelling errors I would be fired the next day. Im sorry I didnt spell something right it must mean I am a complete moron right? And if all you know is zbrush guy and you never did any tutorials you probaly can't Charactar rig maya script C.O.F.F.E.E scripts do Proper UV Mapping. Particle Coding. Dynamics Solving. FBX Match Moving. Advanced compositing Nuke Fusion Shake Combustion Crowd Replecation Advanced Rendering Vray Mental ray maxwell render etc. Fluid Dynmics Fire dynamics Smoke dynamics FBX Mocap. Syntheyes Boujou 3deyes etc. Or do Point Modeiling Box Modeling or proper Edge Loop modeling.

(What you should know before doing ZB at least 3 years conventional 3d modeling.)

To name a few things its much more then that. Your ZB work is good for a base its just the field is quite wide. There is alot of things to study for sure. So if you know all those things and didnt do any tutorials or read 200 books like me. Then your a GURU I guess.

And thats just some of the stuff I know.

And thats why I got the job for Visual FX director.

well it sucks that you are getting this kind of response, but hey, welcome to the internet, obviously you’ve never been to 4chan or you’d see this is what people are like. you opened yourself to opinions.
for the record i’m sick of grammar Nazis myself. language is made up, and has always evolved, who really cares, its retarded.

Yeah, it sucks when people give negative comments. I have’nt posted any work in a while for that reason. English is not the first language of everyone on the forum any way so it should’nt matter about spelling. I have had replies that say I should’nt use mental ray on a zbrush model or not comment at all but just leave two smilies. Don’t let it worry you and good luck with the job.

That is true Vray and Maxwell Render work great tho for ZB.

I only use mental ray when im rendering some maya fluids.

C4d Vray and ZB all intergrate very well.

Wow, infamouskiller, im not sure if internet forums are for you ;] Where in the love of god did you find in this thread someone “talking **** and picking on your speling” ?
Also its great you can thrown in some random names taht mean nothing, but i can do hard edge box modeling, uv mapping, and texturing, render in mental ray since i know 3d max and modo and im using them for some years now, by looking at my join date, you can probably guess i have a lot of experience, not only in zbrush ;]
And why are you getting so defensive and trying to prove you are better, nobody in this thread told you that you suck, and nowhere did i write im in any way better than you, just said i learned everything myself ;] There was just no one to teach me ;D
Just chill out, and spaceboy412 and pride, stop adding to the flame, there were no rude responsesin this thread until infamouskiller did the second reply ;]

slocik, i wasn’t adding to the flame. i even congratulated him. and there were some comments about his spelling but they have been removed/edited.

Pride, pi, etc, i’m sorry if i bothered you in the challenges board, that was not my intent as i had previous said. my only issue was that it should’ve been a zbrush only challenge, even though that was not specified. i did like your work however.

In such a case pillows should be replaced with machete’s.
