Currently in ZBrush we cannot paint directly on our texture maps, something which is really bothering me, as it’s madness to have to increase the polycount to make a high res texture.
So, we have two options: Either use polypainting with a very dense mesh, or we can use projection master. Now, would it be possible to combine them using Spotlight?
My idea is as follows: When you are projecting in spotlight, you automatically go into projection master, without any dialogue. This allows you to paint directly on your texture regardless of your polycount. When you’re done projecting, you would automatically exit projection master. This would in practice means that when using spotlight, you’re practically painting directly on your map, instead of needing high polycounts.
For the record, I dont know scripting at all, so I don’t know if this is possible. If it is possible however, it would be damn cool.
