Texturing not working on Zmodeled object

I’m having problems texturing Zmodeled mesh- when I try and texture the object I made using Zmodeler (w/ spotlight), the photo texture does not transfer onto the mesh, just the coloration. Also, when i try and polypaint onto the surface, nothing happens. Is a Zmodeler tool have a different process for texturing? I looked this up everywhere but can find no answer. What is causing this?

Check your poly count.
Probably you’re trying to paint on a very low poly model… Remember, Zbrush needs a high resolution mesh to paint properly… the more points you have, the better your paint will be… (we are talking millions here) :wink:

ah ok. i’m new to the zmodeler so i was testing out the whole process w/ a simple very low poly model - so that cannot be textured , it needs to be high poly like other model. OK i will try that. Thanks for your help.

i’m making a low-poly house, building with 1x1 cube for the walls, etc. so when i try and increase polycount for more high-res texturing, the model gets distorted. how do i increase my geometry w/o this happening, i’ve tried both zrmesher and dynamesh as well as divide but they all round edges or change the model.
