I’m working on a project where train ist driving across the surface of a huge plant leaf. Everything needs to be photo-realistic. It’s gonna be used as print-media and therefor needs to be high resolution. Here’s the rough layout:
I’m planning on modeling the leaf-shape out of a plane, then using Zpsheres on the main veins and merging them with the plane below.
My problem lies within the capillary structure between the main veins:
Does anyone know a good workflow, where you can generate this fine texture without having to draw each cell by hand? I already tried Noise Maker, but the quality was insufficient for the close up areas near the train.
For a better understanding of the quality I need to achive, here some references:
Maybe there’s a whole different approach, like scripting or plug-ins. The most important factor for me is the quality of the details.
