Texture Seams are broken ?

Hello,

I unwrapped my character first in max. Exported inot ZBrush and just poly-painted on it.

After that, I created a texture map with Col->Texture

So far all looks good, but especially on teh ears I got ugly texture breaks.
Or it looks like seam-breaks.

I tried to click Fix Seams, but didn’t work.

So what can I do to fix that problem ?

Could you perhaps show some illustrations of the problem? Such as the model’s UV’s and an image of what you see when you apply the texture to the model?

below the image… I’ll try to post the UV as well later…

Help - Help … maybe someone knows how I can fix that problem ?

hmm… well, I also would like to mention… that the weired looking broken texture seams appear already in zbrush when applying the texture map.

so it has nothing to do with the export… just wanted to mention that.

for me the unwrapped uvw map of the head looks ok… even at the area of the ear… so what is the problem ?

or better, what did I wrong and how can I fix it ?

thank you so much for every little help

you ve got overlapping faces in the uv. especially at the ears. that´s bad  I think this should be the problem

u have a overlap face…if u are on 3ds max try to select (inseide the uv editor)an edge or face and activate the command “show overlapped face” if it show u some red face on your uv u have a inverted face…im sure u have sometings wrong near the ears zone :frowning:
