I have a several subTools that make up my model. I already painted everything up with polyPaint. I want to now apply some UV’s to the model to make it 3D print-ready. I have a problem though that I overlooked…
My model with all subTools is comprised of over 8 million polygons… :o
My question is how can I merge all the tools as one tool while retaining my polyPaint data? I already watched many help videos and read some web pages about polypaint, yet I havent found a remedy for this issue. I cant show the model, because it is work for a company and I signed a confidentiality agreement meaning I cant show it to anyone (at least not until its finished and made public) - So anyway, if anyone can help me, please post.
Once again, I need to reduce the polycount while retaining the polypaint data. I tried zRemesher which works as far as polycount but my polypaint data goes byebye…And that is not acceptable. I need the polyPaint data to remain, That way I can create a packedUVTile texture to reapply later (so if the customer wants to apply the texture in another application, they can).
And, if I havent been clear enough, then please ask me whatever you need - I will try to better explain (if needed). Thanks for any help.
